Merging the personal with the fictional and using different languages to tell the story, Mohammed Mrabet takes us on a journey in which we learn about his creative process as well as his early memories of running away from school.

The Storyteller takes author and social activist Bell Hook’s reflections on language and teacher and educational philosopher Joseph Jacotot’s principles of ‘Intellectual Emancipation’ as starting points, exploring the themes of universal teaching, oral storytelling, and the limitations and possibilities of language.
